Salty Boot Recreational Kayak Fishing Series Details

With the STAR tournament in full swing, this stop of the Salty Boot could possibly produce a winning trout!!!! This legendary fishery should be in prime shape come late June. Come out and join the club. Free event. Open to members and non-members alike!

Date: Saturday June 24, 2017
Time: Lines in the water 6am or safe light
End: 2pm
Location: West Cove Boat Launch, south of Hackberry, Louisiana

Meeting place: Burger King on Ambassador Caffery just south of I-10 at 320am, depart at 330am
This is to travel as a group. If you want to go on your own, be at West Cove launch at 5:45am. We are launching at 6am
Sign In: When you arrive at the launch, PLEASE SIGN IN with Bruce Blanchard or Butch Ridgedelll. It's really important that we know who is on the water. If you do not sign in, you are not considered to be a part of the Salty Boot trip.
Important to understand: This is a club trip. Everyone is responsible for their own safety and their own fishing. If you are not yet a member of the club, we welcome you. We ask that if you have any needs as far as where to fish, how to fish etc... that you PLEASE grab any club member and tag along and fish. Don't forget to bring plenty of water to drink, snacks and any safety gear necessary. If you are a more experienced fisherman, please take the time to share your knowledge and passion with someone new. Pass it on!
Required: Remember safety is first and pfd are to be worn all day while on the water.
Fun Wager: Prior to launching, the group will decide if there will be a side bet for certain fish. You don't have to participate in the side bet to fish.
Good Part:
There is no fee, yes this event is free and the gift of the Lafayette Kayak Fishing Club.
We will have some food afterwards - nothing fancy just DIY subs provided by LKFC.

About the series:
New in 2017- Join the Lafayette Kayak Fishing Club for a group kayak fishing series that will take you to some of the best kayak fishing spots across the Louisiana coast. Our destinations will range from Big Lake to Grand Isle as we meet up to fish, eat, drink and have fun in a non-competitive format. Each stop along the series will feature a cookout at the launch when we get off the water from fishing.

The series is free and open to the public. It is our club's gift to the community and would love for you to join us!
