Details
Over $2000 of prizes. Participation is open to the public. The tournament format consists of SLAM and Individual categories (Redfish, Trout & Flounder). SLAM champion receives a 12’Native Ultimate Kayak with prizes down to 5th place. The Individual Flounder champion will have 1st prize pick and then will rotate down to other individual categories. See rules on entry form for details.
Weigh-in is at Fred’s Lounge on Big Lake Road Saturday Oct 2, 2010. The tournament entry fee is $25 (+1 for PayPal) and includes a ditty bag(while supplies last), post tournament meal and entry to door prizes. Tournament fishing hours begin at 6 a.m. and weigh-in from 2-3 p.m. Participants, families and friends can enjoy a meal and festivities at the awards presentation after the weigh-in. Meals may also be purchased for $6.00. Many prizes will be raffled and additional tickets will be available to purchase. Other prizes/sponsors include Lake Charles Tackle, Jenny’s Jigs, OCR, Cajun Paddle Tools, Yak-Gear, Find Me Spot, BackPacker and more. This is the 1st stop in 5 events for the Cajun Kayak Angler Tournament Series. Anyone who enters the tournament is automatically entered into the series. Directions:
From I-10 take the I-210 loop. Take the Nelson exit and head south. Turn right (west) on country club road and then left (south) on Big Lake Road (Hwy 384). Fred's in on the right, after the new concrete bridge. To get to the Big Lake Guest House, keep heading South from Fred's then turn right on Big Pasture Road and then right on Hebert Camp Road. Bank St is on the left. The blue heron is at 205 Bank st. We have 3 houses rented all next to each other. Each house has a BBQ pit. Friday night you can bring your own beef, preferably something that won't take long

Call Rachel @ 337-794-9991 for bookings. As of Aug 7, they have 3 camps avaiilable, possibly a 4th new camp will be ready. The Crew's Quarters and Anchors Away are next door to the Blue Heron but they're all in walking distance.
