Tourney Results

Another successful series complete as we ended the Turkey Trout Throwdown at Cypremort Point State Park. 28 participants blasted off from the park and 24 returned to weigh in Trout.  A cold front on Wednesday certainly slowed down the trout bite that was fairly consistent for 3 weeks prior to the tourney. 

 After the front we had 2 days of N winds. Winds shifted to NNE and finally due E mid-morning of the tourney.  This made for most areas reachable and kayak-fishable.  Trout were finicky to say the least with temps in the mid 40's, 10-15 kt winds and clear conditions.   Even still several folks brought in nice stringers of 5 trout.  Here are the results from the event.  A big congrats goes out to Cameron Blair for entering his first kayak fishing tournament and returning to the scales with 4 nice trout.
