Each year LKFC offers 5 fishing tournaments during our Cajun Kayak Angler Series sponsored by Pack and Paddle & Hobie.  Tournaments are open to the public and members that weigh-in at least 1 fish are awarded points based on place.  Points accrue throughout the year.  The member with the highest points at year's end is Angler of the Year.  You do not have to fish all 5 tournaments to be competitive as your lowest score of the 5 is dropped for the year. 

• Historically, 1st place Angler of the Year Prize is a Hobie Kayak sponsored by Pack & Paddle partnering with Hobie. 
• 2nd thru 5th place year-end winners win cash/prizes (values based on percentages allocated throughout the series tournament entry fee).
• Good standing members receive points for weighing fish.  100 points for 1st, 99 points for 2nd, 98 points for 3rd...etc. Members' points are tracked on the leader board for the year.  
• At the end of the series each angler’s lowest event score is dropped from their total. 
• Cash payouts at each tournament, door prizes to non-winners.  $10 of each entry goes to series prize pot to determine end of the year total payouts.
