2015 Marsh Madness Top Bag Results - March 21, 2015

Great start to our 2015 Cajun Kayak angler Series! We had 66 anglers registered with 23 weighing fish.

2 redfish stringer Category:
1st place – Timothy Caldwell (15.09 lbs)
2nd place – Owen Carraway (12.20 lbs)
3rd place – Luke Beslin (10.90 lbs)
4th place – Scott Bienvenu (10.55 lbs)
5th place – Nicholas Dinger (9.93 lbs)

Speckled Trout Calcutta:
Scott Bienvenu – 4.05 lbs

We had 34 anglers registered with 20 weighing fish. Five – 3 fish Slams were registered rounding out the top 5 places.

Slam Category

1st place – Tyler Vondenstein – 7.95lbs

2nd place – Trevor Braun – 7.78lbs

3rd place – Jeff Robinson – 5.17lbs

4th place – William McConnaughhay – 4.64lbs

LA 1 Slamboree July 28, 2014

First, I would like to thank all 95 anglers who participated in making this our largest tournament attendance ever!

Now for the results:

Slam Category:

1st place - Todd Lewis - 10.46lbs (3 fish slam)

2nd place - Shane Curole - 8.46lbs (wins tie breaker-explained below)

3rd place - Thai Duong - 8.46lbs (This was Thai's first kayak fishing tournament)

4th place - Jeff Robinson 7.48lbs (3 fish slam)

5th place - Cedric Carroll 7.13lbs (3 fish slam)

If you notice...the top three places had the EXCACT same weight (8.46lbs), but because of the 2lb bonus for the 3 fish slam, Todd took first. Shane took second because he signed-in at 2:45 while Thai signed-in at 2:50!

Leopard Red Category:

Scott Bienvenu - 14 spots

There were 7 leopards registered on tourney day (14, 10, 9, 6, 6, 6, 5)

Trout Calcutta:

Lance LeBouef - 2.58lb
