3rd Annual Cajun CastAway

Cold fronts on Wednesday and Friday prior to the tournament brought in cooler temps of 55 degrees and gusty ENE winds for tournament day.  Many anglers still found nice stringers of fish not to mention all 3 to complete their 3-fish SLAM.  26 participants out of 38 weighed fish.  12 of those weighed in a 3-Fish SLAM getting them the bonus 2 points.  Here's how all the top SLAM anglers fared

Top Bag 2011

Here's the results from the Top Bag. 23 Anglers made the trek down to Chauvin, LA.  The day started out with the traditional exchanging of the Top Bag baits.  Participants then fled to their destinations throughout Terrebonne Parish.  A number of folks fished the Point Aux Chiene area and came back with some nice fish. Another group headed down to the Cocodrie area and many others stuck around Hwy's 56, 57 and 4 Points Rd.  Despite the very windy conditions a variety of nice Redfish, Trout and Flounder were brought to the scales.  Congrats to Gairi for consecutive wins at this tournament and Valerie as contributor and winner of the Top Bag prize ($110). Thanks to everyone who showed up to fish. Thanks to Pack and Paddle for sponsoring the series events.
